What is a Gun Trust?

A Gun Trust is a revocable or irrevocable management trust that is created to take the title of firearms and firearm accessories.  Sometimes these trusts are also referred to as NFA gun trusts as they apply to weapons covered by the National Firearms Act and the Gun Control Act of 1968.

What Firearms Qualify for a Gun Trust?

Firearms that are covered by the National Firearm Act and the Gun Control Act of 1968 include: fully automatic firearms, short-barrel shotguns, short-barrel rifles, sound suppressors, destructive devices, and any other weapons (AOW).
